Labeling Disk

You can assign or change a label for a disk.

To assign or change a volume label

1. In the panel open the disk you want to label.
2. Open the Drive Information dialog box:

   Menu:	Commands/Drive Information...
   Shortcut key:	Ctrl+F1
   Mouse:	Click the Size item in the Directory Line.
   Toolbar:	Choose the Drive Information button on the Top, Middle, or Bottom toolbar.

3. In the Volume name box, type the label for the disk.

   Labels on NTFS disks can contain up to 32 characters. Labels on FAT and HPFS disks can contain up to 11 characters.

4. Choose the OK button.
